Who we are
Gift4You UK is operated by GsmHelp Electronics Workshop.
Business address: 48 Shepherds Pool, Evesham, Worcestershire, WR114JG, United Kingdom.
Privacy enquiries: admin@gift4you.uk.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the store, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, delivery and billing details, account information, order history, product selections, personalisation instructions, uploaded images or artwork, locations or postcodes selected for personalised map artwork, customer-service messages, returns information, review content, technical/security logs and payment transaction references.
Gift4You does not need to store your full payment-card number or card security code when you pay through an external payment provider such as SumUp.
Why we use your information
We use personal information to create and manage accounts, process and fulfil orders, produce personalised items, take and verify payments, arrange delivery, provide customer service, handle returns and refunds, prevent fraud and misuse, maintain security, meet accounting/tax/legal obligations, and improve the operation of the store.
Lawful bases
Depending on the processing, we rely on one or more lawful bases under UK data-protection law, including performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests such as securing and operating the store, and consent where consent is the appropriate basis.
Who we share information with
We may share information with service providers only where reasonably necessary to operate the store or fulfil your order, such as payment processors, delivery/courier providers, website hosting and infrastructure providers, email providers, professional advisers, and authorities where disclosure is legally required.
If you use the automatic engraving-map tool, the location search is sent to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service and the selected coordinates are sent to an OpenStreetMap Overpass service to create the vector artwork. The generated map and selected location are then kept with the personalisation details needed to produce your order.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this applies, we use or rely on the safeguards required by applicable UK data-protection law.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including customer service, order fulfilment, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, legal claims and other legal obligations. Different categories of information may therefore have different retention periods.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. Some rights are subject to legal conditions or exceptions.
If you have an account, use Privacy & my data to download account data or submit a privacy request. You can also contact us using the email above.
Cookies and security
We use security and session technologies that are necessary to operate account, basket, checkout and administration functions. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Complaints
Please contact us first if you have a privacy concern so we can investigate it. You also have the right to raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the store, our service providers or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page.
